Busy Thursday morning...

Today I...

- registered for bedding and some room decor at PBK (Some may believe I'm tacky for registering for a second baby, but she needs a room, too, and my friends have been asking me to get registries going! Honestly- in the grand scheme of tacky things- I'm of the opinion that registering for a baby of the opposite sex is pretty low on the proverbial totem pole ;)). Seriously, love this stuff.

- pulled a kid out of the outside fountain at Southpoint by Ann Taylor Loft (no, I'm not kidding!) who had the misfortune not only to fall in, but to fully submerge himself on this 50 something degree day. Boy, was that water COLD! All I could think about afterward was a) please let that not be Jackson in a couple of years, and b) that very well could be Jackson in a couple of years.

- took advantage of the BOGO 50% off at Stride Rite- two pairs of sandals in 8 Extra Wide (I can just see the future need for special ordered giant-sized tennis shoes now)- desperately needed for our end of March Disney trip! We were also able to kill two birds with one stone and pick up a gift certificate at Stride Rite for Jackson's friend Jonathan's birthday party this weekend (I love it when people let me know exactly what they want- makes things so easy for everyone involved!). Two things about Stride Rite: this is the only option for an Extra Wide foot (and even then, there are only about 6 choices), and NEVER attempt that semi-annual BOGO 50% off sale on a weekend. You'll never make it out alive (or at the bare minimum, maybe not with any shoes- sale-crazed parents and other relatives descend on the place like locusts and size selection ends up being rather sparse)!

- did our grocery shopping, which included the makings for Eric's very favorite cake in the world- a homemade German Chocolate Cake. I'll be making it tomorrow, so Eric's parents who are coming on Saturday can enjoy his birthday cake with us.

Jackson was a fantastic partner in crime throughout all of these activities. Maybe he's coming around to the idea of shopping after all?

Nah.
