She's Here!

...and now one week old, thanks to being behind on posting this. :)

Her birth story (abridged-I'll come back with more details later):

Ella Rockwell Yokeley was born 6/24 at 3:51 PM, weighing in at 10 pounds, 1 ounce, and 22.5 inches long. All natural birth!

I went into labor at just after 12 PM, and it went fast and furious from there. By the time our friend K got here to watch Jackson, my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. The whole way to the hospital, my contractions were 2 minutes apart, and I got scared that she was coming in the car! We went straight to the birth center, and I was 8-9 cm dilated by the time we arrived. They weren't expecting us, but my Dr. did get there in time. I pushed for 15-20 minutes, and out she came! She also came out sunny side up, so I guess that explained the terrible back labor I had. She arrived 43 minutes after we arrived at the hospital!

I am so happy that's over. I definitely felt like Superwoman after that experience, but at the same time, I'm in no hurry to go through anything like that again!
