On the mend...maybe? (and a baby update)

Jackson slept in late again today (8:00 AM). He's been in a fabulous mood- smiling, playing, just being his usual happy self. He still won't eat, but is getting plenty of fluids. He did finally break down and have a few Saltines last night at dinnertime. We skipped our Friday morning My Little Gym class in favor of reading a few books and watching Jackson's favorite cartoon, Sid the Science Kid. We've had only had one very messy setback this morning that required a bubble bath, firing up the washer and dryer (again), and even more TLC from Mom to rectify, but the good news is that Jackson does seem to be on the mend!

In baby news, baby girl must have gone through a recent growth spurt, because she's starting to do some karate in there with some force behind it! It's hard to believe we're now on the downward slope of the pregnancy (22 weeks tomorrow). We're just now starting to think about names and decorating the nursery (no real progress on these topics yet :)), hearing baby shower buzz, and shopping for tiny girly clothes. We're getting there! Time has flown by with this pregnancy at an unbelievable rate. The third trimester starts at the end of next month!

We'll get to see her again on ultrasound on March 2nd. At our earlier anatomy ultrasound in February, she was being stubborn (where did she get that from? ;)), so the tech couldn't get the measurements needed to establish that everything was OK with her lower spine. There's no reason to believe that anything's wrong, baby girl just wouldn't let the tech see what she needed to see long enough to measure it! Overall, everything was perfect on the ultrasound. All measurements were right on or a few days ahead, exactly like big brother's were at this stage in the game. We didn't argue at all when they told us to come back in a month to get another ultrasound to check on the lower spine-it's a lot of fun to see her dancing around in there. If there's another chance to see her, we'll take it!
