Baby Girl Room Transformation...

...has officially commenced! Eric put up room darkening film on the windows of her room (our former guest room) Sunday. That room darkening film has definitely played a role in Jackson's generally fantastic sleep routines, and we hope it does for our baby girl, too! We've got her growing wardrobe hanging in the closet, and have cleared out the wall hangings and knickknacks that somehow never were hung up in the guest room. This may sound crazy, but we never bothered to really decorate that room in the two years we've lived here. We knew our kids would be close in age, and that room wouldn't be a guest room for long. We've started to pull out the baby gear that seems like it was just put away in the not too distant past.

We hope to get some painting done in both rooms, pick up and assemble the crib we're borrowing from a friend (Jackson will stay in his crib for a while longer), buy Jackson's big boy furniture (so we can move the baby furniture into baby girl's room)- all in the next couple of weeks! There's a ton to do- but it's going to be super exciting to watch the new nursery and Jackson's big boy room come together in the next 2-3 months. Will post pictures when there's something exciting happening!
