All of a sudden, summer seems to have arrived in our area, just a bit prematurely- as usual. Just like last time around, this just happens to coincide with the tail end of my pregnancy (aka all of a sudden feeling like I've been hit by a Mack truck), which isn't cool at all! I'm very lucky that I've had wonderful pregnancies, and I've really felt fine up until this point. I don't think it's too shabby making it to nearly full-term (37 weeks- Saturday will be it) before deciding that I'm kind of over this! ;) I took Jackson to an outdoor playdate today, and while we had a great time, I don't know how many of more of those I'll be doing this month, especially when temperatures are in the 90s! Don't you know that A/C and pregnant women go together like peanut butter and jelly? :)
I've got 25 more days to my due date, and we're anxious to hear on Thursday if more progress has been made (though it could really mean nothing), and also to see her on ultrasound again. I'll let you know what they tell us. I'm definitely to the point where I'm (almost) ready to have this baby, meet her, and deflate.
Right now, I'm feeling encouraged to get to the end of June by the following:
1) The simple fact that it's now June! I'm in the "right" month now! The end is near.
2) I'm carrying a healthy baby girl, who is already so loved.
3) I get to have the awesome help and support of my sister Shel for at least a week when Ella's born. (Mom, too, but unfortunately for just a couple days- she'll be here in July for extended help time!). I miss my sister a lot, and can't wait to see her.
4) No matter how I look and feel right now, I've got a husband who loves me, and is so excited about the life we've created. I didn't think it was possible, but he's been even more wonderful to me throughout this entire process than usual!
5) I've got a fantastic son who despite his energy level (and speed :)), is a dream to take care of, and will be an excellent big brother.
6) I've got awesome friends who have been wonderful and supportive throughout my pregnancy, and so generous towards us with offers of help, advice, etc.
7) There's a super cute girly pink room in our house that's really coming together, and I love it!! Every time we step in, it makes us smile.
8) Starbucks iced lattes- couldn't do it without you some days!
9) Eric promised to carry #3 (when/if there's a #3). ;)
