Saturday, we went to Sesame Street Live at the RBC Center. Our seats were pretty close to the action, and Jackson didn't seem to be a huge fan for the first half of the show. He was doing lots of pointing and dancing around, but would occasionally get upset. Luckily, our seats were in the first row behind a railing, so he could stand up. He wouldn't sit in his own seat at all, but would occasionally settle in on my lap. We couldn't figure out if we were too close to the action, and he was overstimulated, or if he was frustrated because he couldn't get closer! We decided to give him a break, let him walk around a bit, take some pictures, then return to the action. We sat near the top in some empty seats, and Jackson enjoyed the rest of the show. The intermittent agitation could have been due to the fact that we weren't at the RBC Center for a Stanley Cup Final game, but rather for Sesame Street Live. ;) After all, no one likes to be tricked! Here's a picture of us posing with "Elmo":
Sunday, our little family went out for lunch with about 16 other people at Red Robin, 7 of them were age 2 and under. The occasion was our friend Erin coming back to town from Alabama for the weekend. It was a great group of friends getting together with (most of) our hubbies and kids for a meal, and we had a fabulous time talking and hanging out! Erin's daughter Sadie was one of Jackson's very first girlfriends, so he was happy to see her. A pic of the moms and kiddos (dads are standing back photographing and watching the chaos unfold):
This is about as good a picture as you're getting with this crew, but you get the idea!
P.S. I also want to give a bloggy shoutout to the newest Yokeley- Samuel Jacob, born 05/27. Proud parents are Eric's cousin Jonathan and his wife Heather. Congratulations to a wonderful couple who we know will make great parents. Can't wait to meet the beautiful babe, and keep the pics coming! :)
