Jackson's fever went away yesterday afternoon, and he slept through the night. He woke up ready to drink and eat... a lot! The runny nose is gone, too. He's playing, running around, and is himself! I'm so excited that he seems to be back to normal for the busy weekend ahead. His big boy furniture arrives tomorrow morning. We'll see what he thinks of a bed set up in his room. :) We're going to let him decide when to move into it.
I am trying to get Jackson to begin drinking from a straw sippy cup to strengthen his mouth muscles (for speech). There are currently 3 different types of straw sippy cups full of yummy juice (hey- I've got to entice him in some way) sitting on the kitchen floor. Jackson knows something's up, and won't drink from them. He'll put each one in his mouth, then hand it back to me, or gently set it down on the floor. We'll keep keeping on!
Jackson has just about outgrown the two pairs of Stride Rite sandals that I just bought him... last month!!! We're now into the "sorry, Ma'am, we don't carry those sizes in-store" sizes. I need to order them online from Stride Rite! I don't particularly want to order shoes that I can't try on him, but I guess I can always return them. I tried to take some friends' suggestions today, and try Crocs for him. They're cheaper than the $50.00 a pop Stride Rites, which are/were our only option in his size. The Crocs seem to fit him well, but I didn't want chocolate brown, traffic cone orange, or Carolina blue (the only options in his size that I could find today). The search continues!
